SA School Tour to UK
Kristian made the SA National Schools team where they went to the UK to participate in British Junior International Competition over period 8 to 11 Aug 2022 at Bisleys. Over 8 countries participated in the competition. Kristian participated in the 25m ladies sport (finished 7th), 10m Air Pistol Grand Prix (finished 7th) and 10m Air pistol (Qualified for the finals and finished 8th overall). This competition is held annually in the UK. This was her first international competition.
SA Schools Nationals:
Kristian qualified for her NG School Colours and participated in the SA Schools Nationals under 21 over period 2 Oct to 6 Oct 2022. There she participated in the 10m Air Pistol. She finished 2nd overall and qualified for the finals where she finished 5th.
She received silver for the Air Pistol Individual
As an under 21 team she received 3rd place overall
As for the NG Air Pistol team (Combined with Under 14 and Under 21) she received 3rd place overall.

Following the final GSSU league shoot during the holidays the provincial teams were announced to take part in the SA National School’s Championships to be held in October in Gauteng.
The ASSC juniors made the provincial teams as follows .
Roberto Da Cruz – U21 Springer with full provincial colours. Gino Cinquina – U21 Pistol with full provincial colours re-awarded.Michael Bertasso – U21 Pistol development squad. Claudio Surmon – U15 Pistol with full provincial colours.Luke Kojetin – U13 Pistol with full provincial colours. Simon Van Gaalen – U13 Pistol development squad. Jason Van Rijn – U13 Pistol development squad.
Congratulations to these boys on their selection. Their dedication and commitment has paid off.Good luck for Nationals which takes place from the 5th to the 9th October.
The International Paralympic Committee ( IPC ) World Cup shoot was recently held in Fort Benning, Georgia in the USA. The main event was the Sports Pistol event, which comprises of both deliberate and timed fire, using a .22 calibre pistol South Africa was represented by a member of the Alberton Sports Shooting Club, Von Zeuner Kohne. Von Zeuner did the Club proud, bringing home the bronze medal for South Africa.
